Someday I would like to throw a "Breakfast at Tiffany's" style New Year's Eve party.
They held a birthday party, but I think the theme would work equally well for a New Year's Eve Party, don't you?
I remember my parents had blow-out New Year's Eve parties back in the
day. I actually remember pink elephant cake decorations and napkins!
Of
course my New Year's Resolution is to eat healthier (not saying the
4-letter word) and plan healthy meals so I decided to start now by making chicken and brown rice meat loaf....figured I could have it
for dinner tonight and then heat up the leftovers for a few days of
low-fat eating....wasn't that good planning.....well, I didn't start to
cook until I was hungry and.....it took 30 minutes to cook the rice and the loaf has been almost an hour in the oven
and....in the meantime I have eaten a bag of sour cream and onion potato
chips and a slice of banana bread that I made yesterday before my
resolution (and, yes, I added the optional chocolate chips, no less, since I had them on-hand for the Holidays)....I sure hope I
plan better in January......
Remember: Everything in Moderation! Don't overdo it!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
